三、教学过程

Step 1: Greeting&Warming up

1. Greeting

T: Hello, boys and girls.

S: Hello, Miss ...

T: Nice to meet you.

S: Nice to meet you, too.

2. Sing a song

T: Do you like music?  

S: Yes.

T: Me too. Let’s listen to the music. Guess! What holiday is it?

S: New Year!

T: Yes, it’s New Year’s Day. It’s on January the first. What can we say on New Year’s Day?

S: Happy New Year!

T: Can you sing the song “Happy new year”?

S: Yes.

T: Let’s sing with the music. OK?

Step 2:Presentation 

1. Learn the new words

 T: Look, what’s this?

S: It’s a CD.

T: Yes, It’s a CD. I like Listening to the CD. What’s that?

S: It’s …

T: It’s a robot.

Step 3 Story time

1. Watch and answer

T: Who’s coming?

T: Yes, Uncle John brings some presents.

What presents are they? Please watch 

carefully.

S: A doll, a ball and a robot.

T: Do you like these presents?

S: Yes.

2. Listen and match

T: What’s for Helen? What’s for Mike? What’s for Tim? Please listen carefully.

T: Can you tell me: Who are they for?

What’s that?

S: It’s a doll. It’s for Helen.

T: Good job. Now please talk about the presents in pair like this.

S1: What’s that?

S2: It’s ... It’s for ...

3. Read and say

T: Good. Now open your books. Please read their dialogue and find: How to give a present? How to accept the present?

S: This is for …

  It’s for …

  Thank you.

  How nice!

T: If you are Mike/ Helen/ Tim, what will you give to Uncle John? Now I’m Uncle John.

S: This … is for you.

T: Thank you. I like … Do you know how the Western people accept the present?
