Step 1 Free talk

1.Greetings.

Step 2 Presentation

1. T:  Today, I bring some photos. Do you want to have a look?

  Ss: Yes!

  T: Let’s enjoy some photos. It’s our city.

T: What do you think of the city?

S: Beautiful/ nice/ wonderful/ clean/…

  Teach: clean

读:beautiful and clean

2. T: Look at these photos, it’s our city ,too.图片

      What can you see in the pictures?

  S: I can see...

T: In our city, in some places, there are some problems. The sky is not blue. There is some rubbish near our home and in the river.

T: What do you think of our city now?

S: It’s not clean./bad/…

T: Yes, it’s dirty.

Teach: dirty (thirty)(板书)

3. T:Compare these pictures, which city do you like?

  S1: I like clean city.

S2: I like clean city, too.

  T:Me, too.Now, more and more people live in the city. So what should we do?

  S:We should keep our city clean.

T:Yes, we should keep our city clean.

Today, we learn Unit 6 Keep our city clean.(板书)

Now, Miss Li and her students are talking about their city, too.

T: How about their city? Let’s listen and choose.

A.   clean and beautiful.

B.   dirty and messy

S: It’s dirty and messy.

Teach: messy(板书)

T: Yes, it’s not clean, it’s dirty and messy. Today ,let’s learn more, know more. Why is dirty ? and How to keep?

4.T: First, What is dirty in their city?  Let’s watch the cartoon(P58).

T: What is dirty in their city?

a. The air is dirty.

b. The streets are dirty.

c. The river is dirty.  

T-Ss对话(板书)T: So, what is dirty?S:...

5.T:They are dirty. What makes them dirty? Please read the dialogue on Page 58, try to find out the answers.

a. Smoke from cars makes the air dirty. (板书smoke)

     Black smoke from factories makes the air dirty.(Learn: factory)

b. Rubbish makes the streets messy and dirty.(Learn: rubbish) (板书rubbish)

c. Rubbish makes the river dirty. The fish are dead.(Learn: dead)

T: The air is dirty. The streets are dirty. And the river is dirty.What impact do they bring?What’s the harm?

S:We have no fish to eat./We can’t swim in the river./....

T:Our city becomes dirty.

The dirty city will bring us illness and death. So, we should keep our city clean.

6. T: But how to keep our city clean? What can we do to keep our city clean? Please read the dialogue on Page 59. Then write down the answers on Page 60. (板书How to do?)

Teach : move… away from,(But where there’s a factory, there is pollution .So they should try to reduce pollution.) bin, They help keep the air clean. plant more trees

Teach:recyclable(可回收):plastic,newspapers, glass,clothes,pop-top can(易拉罐)...    

unrecoverable(不可回收):skin,cell(电池),.....

Tips:可回收的垃圾主要包括废纸、塑料、玻璃、金属和布料五大类。

不可回收垃圾指除可回收垃圾之外的垃圾,常见的在自然条件下易分解的垃圾,如果皮、菜叶、剩菜剩饭、花草树枝树叶等,属于不可回收物。

7.T:What else can we do to keep our city clean?Think and say.

S: Pick up the rubbish/Don’t use too much plastic/No littering/Don’t drive too much….

T:So, To protect our environment , it starts from me!

Let’s do our best to make it clean and beautiful!

Step 3 Consolidation

1. T: Let’s read the whole dialogue after the computer.

 Please pay attention to your pronunciation and intonation.

  Let’s read together.

2.Summary:

T:Today we know说所有板书,老师问,所有学生答。

we all know we should keep our city clean. Yes?

Ss: Yes!

T:But we are students now ,our power is limited ,so as a studen.What can we do or can’t do ?Please discuss .

S:We can keep our school/home/classroom/ourselves /desk/clothes /school bag/…clean./can’t litter …

T:I think we can write a proposal to tell more people to keep our city clean together .Please

take this paper and write a proposal.

S:Share your proposal. 

3. T:The city is our home, beautiful city needs everyone. So we can tell our family and friends to keep the city clean.

1. Read the story time fluently.

2. Tell your family and friends how to keep our city clean.

3. Know more ways to  keep our city clean.
