             3B Unit 5 How old are you

一、教学内容

本课为义务教育教科书小学《英语》(译林版)三年级下册第五单元新授课,完成Story time版块和Learning tip的教学。

教学重点是one-ten十个单词的教学,以及“How old are you .?”为主题,让学生学会运用本单元交际用语,并了解“How old are you?”使用的特殊场合。

教学难点是让学生通过学习“Story”,初步了解“How old are you?”使用的场合,以及认读十个数字单词。

二、教学目标

1.知识目标:

   (1)能听懂、会读、会说日常用语How old are you? How lovely! Here you are. I’m…

(2)能听懂、会说、会读 one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine and ten,

(3)能听懂、会说、会读、会写 two, eight, nine.

2.技能目标:

    (1) 能正确地理解并朗读对话内容,在教师的引导和帮助下表演课文内容。

    (2) 让学生会初步地用英语表达生活中的数字。

3.情感目标:

(1)通过本单元学习,激发学生对英语学科的好奇心以及学习兴趣,在小组活动中能与其他同学积极配合和合作。

(2)通过本单元学习,培养学生乐于接触外国文化的意识。

三、教学准备

    多媒体课件,数字单词卡片,头饰

教学过程:

Step 1warm up

1.T: Welcome to our English class.    Ss: Thank you.

2.      T: Do you like songs?           Ss: Yes.

T: Let’s enjoy a song . What can you hear in the song?

Ss: Numbers(数字)

3.T: Let’s count numbers from one to ten.

4.T: Great.Shall we read and spell them?

5.T: You did a good job just now.So I praise you a game :Bomb .

    First, you should read rules.

 Rules: 看到图片、单词和词组就大声地读出来,看到炸弹大声说“Bomb

Step 2 Story time

1.      Ask questions about a girl.

T: Look at the girl.

Ss: How beautiful!

T: Do you want to know about her. You can ask some questions.

Ss:Hi, Dora.  What’s your  name ?

   Ss:Hi, Dora . How old are you ?揭示课题:How old are you ?

   Ss:Hi, Dora. What do you like ?           I like toys.

2.      Show three toys: a doll , a toy car , a yo yo.

T: Look, There are some toys in the box.They are Dora’s presents.When did Dora get these toys ? Guess.(引导学生猜一猜)

T: Every letter instead of a number.

t ______ ?   f_______ ?  s_______ ?

T: Do you like toys ? Where are the toys ?Let’s go to Toy Museum.OK.

3.      T;Look , our friends are in Toy Museum. Who are they?

Ss: Mike, Helen ,Tim and Father.

T; Look, This is the clerk of the museum. What can he say? Let’s listen.

The clerk : Welcome to Toy Museum .

4.      T: How old are the children, do you know ? Let’s watch the cartoon and answer .

Pay attention to what toys suitable for what age.

Ss watch the cartoon and answer.

5.      Imitate the tape and repeat. :How old are you ? I’m…(Pay attention the tone of different age.)

Work in pairs.

6.      What do they get ?Watch the cartoon again, then match. 再看动画,并连线。

7.      T: How to praise about something? Please praise these toys.

Ss: It’s nice. How nice! How lovely!...

8.      T: If you give something to your friend, how can you say? 想一想给予别人东西时,可以怎么说?

Ss: This …is for you. Here you are.

T: How to thank? 又怎样表示感谢呢?

Ss: Thank you. Thanks.

Step 3. Reading time

1.      Read the dialogue after the tape.Try to read as well as the tape.

2.      Read in four.

Step 4 Show time

T: Look , here’re three children. He’s LeLe. She’s FeiFei. She’s BeiBei.

They like toys very much.So they want to go to Toy Museum. You know different toys are for different ages. Let’s choose suitable toys for them.

Act in four groups.One is an assistant.The others act three children.

Step 5 Homework

1. Listen and read the numbers.

2. Listen and read the dialogue .

3.Talk about the ages with your family and friends, and give them gifts.
